On August 31, representatives of Sumitomo Corporation Japan, BRG Group Vietnam, CYFEER Company met with the Vice General Director of Blue Diamond – a compnay specializing in providing real estate management and operations services in Vietnam.
The parties discussed new technology systems and smart management applications in major urban development projects around the world and in Vietnam, especially the challenges in management and operation of the buildings which have been handed over to residents by the investors.
Representing Blue Diamond, Deputy General Director Pham Hung Phong shared the company’s experience and its new technology applications in management – operation of large-scale residential projects which involved foreign investment. Mr Pham Hung Phong said that Blue Diamond is conducting digital transformation in the management process, cooperating with leading providers of smart devices to serve residents better, and will centrally manage some key services to optimize costs and increase efficiency.
According to Mr Pham Hung Phong, in the near future, Blue Diamond will actively work with publishers, libraries, digital content providers and investors to set up reading rooms, value-added services for residents, in order to build humane and modern communities under the management of Blue Diamond.
Mr. Minoru Tara, Head of Business Development Team (North Hanoi Project Dept) of Sumitomo Group said that Sumitomo is cooperating with Vietnam’s BRG Group to implement the North Hanoi Smart City project on an area of 272ha with a total investment of nearly USD 4.2 billion. The highlight of the project is the application of smart technology across six areas of energy, transportation, governance, learning, life and economy, helping people to enjoy maximum benefits from the development of modern and sustainable infrastructure.

The representative of CYFEER, which provides CyHome software for residential building management and operation, said that operation and management of residential buildings requires general knowledge in many fields such as construction, infrastructure systems, regulations on fire prevention and fighting, the mandate of the Board of Directors and other tenant affairs. Therefore, the selection of a qualified building operator is a very important factor to ensure the maintenance and development of the brand and value of a real estate project.
