After days of hot weather, unseasonal rains with moderate to large rainfalls will occur quite widely in southern localities, said Le Dinh Quyet, deputy head of the station.
People need to watch out for thunderstorms, whirlwinds, lightning, and hail that could appear in the period from late March to early April, Quyet warned.
From now until March 9, the common weather pattern in the southern region will be sunshine in daytime and scattered showers and thunderstorms at night-time, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
