7,417 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Việt Nam on Monday

HÀ NỘI — A total of 7,417 new COVID cases were reported in Việt Nam on Monday, bringing the total caseload to 10,571,772 since the start of the pandemic.

Hà Nội still had the highest number of infections, with 941, followed by Phú Thọ (493) and Quảng Ninh (411).

The other areas recording new transmissions were Yên Bái (410), Nghệ An (400), Hải Dương (394), Lào Cai (330), Tuyên Quang (282), Thái Nguyên (278), Gia Lai (261), Vĩnh Phúc (255), Thái Bình (212), Bắc Kạn (203), Hưng Yên (169), Đắk Lắk (160), Nam Định (144), Cao Bằng (140), Lâm Đồng (124), Hà Tĩnh (121), Quảng Bình (121), Hà Giang (114), Lạng Sơn (107), Bắc Ninh (96), Hà Nam (87), Quảng Trị (86), Hòa Bình (77), Vĩnh Long (74), Ninh Bình (72), Đà Nẵng (68), Sơn La (64), Bắc Giang (52), Lai Châu (52), Bình Dương (48), Thanh Hóa (47), Điện Biên (44), Quảng Nam (42), Bình Phước (42), Tây Ninh (41), Quảng Ngãi (38), Phú Yên (38), HCM City (38), Đắk Nông (37), Bình Định (32), Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu (32), Bến Tre (30), Cà Mau (18), Sóc Trăng (16), Bình Thuận (15), Khánh Hòa (10), Kiên Giang (9), Thừa Thiên-Huế (9), Long An (7), Bạc Liêu (7), Trà Vinh (5), An Giang (4), Đồng Nai (3), Cần Thơ (3), Hậu Giang (2), Kon Tum (1) and Đồng Tháp (1).

Bắc Giang Province’s Department of Health registered an additional 853 cases to the national system on Monday.

Eight COVID-related deaths were also announced: four in Quảng Nam, and one each in Bình Thuận, Đắk Lắk, Kiên Giang and Tây Ninh provinces.

There are 664 COVID patients nationwide currently receiving oxygen support, including 56 needing invasive ventilation and one on life support.

Nearly 6,690 patients were declared fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 9,092,760 since the pandemic began. — VNS
