Four workers died of suffocation and another was hospitalized following an accident involving a boiler at a factory in Phu Tho Province, northern Vietnam on Monday.
The incident took place at a plant owned by Miwon Vietnam Company in Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province at around 6:00 pm on Monday, the Viet Tri People’s Committee confirmed later the same day.
Preliminary information showed that two people were cleaning the boiler at the factory when they suffocated.
Three other workers rushed to help them but also suffered injuries due to lack of oxygen.
Among the five victims, three died at the factory and one passed away at the hospital.

The deceased were identified as Vu Sao H., 38, Le Hung V., 42, Tran Van T., 59, and Duong Van S., 38.
The remaining victim, 35-year-old Nguyen Trung K., survived and is receiving treatment at Phu Tho Province General Hospital.
Local authorities are working to determine the cause of the serious accident.
Officials have offered financial support to the victims and their families.
Miwon Vietnam is a South Korean-owned company specializing in manufacturing, processing, and trading products such as monosodium glutamate, seasoning, dipping sauce, and soy sauce.
